The raids when down during the late evening hours on Monday, Feb. 4, at two homes located at 155 Front Street and 159 Front Street in Port Jervis, said Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden.
"The arrests are the result of an undercover investigation conducted by the Port Jervis City Police Department into the illicit sales of crack cocaine originating in the Front Street area of the City of Port Jervis over the last several months," the chief said.
The city was assisted in the investigation by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, FBI Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task, Town of Deerpark Police and the Pike County Drug Task Force.
During the search, detectives recovered more than 23 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, digital scales, and a quantity of cash, Worden said.
The following persons were arrested and charged with drug-related offenses:
- Eulises Rosado, 49, of Port Jervis, was charged with five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (B Felony), four counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree. Rosado was arraigned in City Court and remanded to Orange County Jail without bail pending further court appearances.
- Anthony Paraway, 26, of Port Jervis, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Paraway was arraigned in City Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of 7,500.00 bail pending further court appearances.
- Chaelese Brown, 28, of Port Jervis, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminally using drug paraphernalia. Brown was arraigned in City Court and remanded to Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000.
The case is being prosecuted by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
